Intellian v60G is a fully integrated 60cm (23.6”) Ku-band stabilized maritime VSAT system that acquires and locks onto the satellite without requiring any extra configuration or a separate input from the ship’s gyro-compass, which allows boaters to have a simplified and hassle-free installation as well as a reliable, “always-on” broadband connection at sea.

Building on the success of the v60 and the world-class standards, the v60G is capable of withstanding the severe shock and vibration generated by the harsh marine environment. Furthermore, to avoid unnecessary and complicated cable runs, the v60G supplies 48V DC BUC power with TX signal through one cable directly from it's control unit.

The installation of v60G requires just a simple process compared to the existing antenna. Once the satellite’s signal peak position is acquired during the first-time setup, the antenna system will re-adjust all the parameters (Bow adjust, home sensor offset, azimuth and elevation position) automatically even after it is reboot t o save a tremendous amount of time and efforts for users. And, the antenna is shipped to the customer with all target satellites information embedded, so the customer can track the satellites just after installation.

The v60G is designed to replace and repair the parts easily so that the user put the minimum attention to maintain the system. Also, Intellian’s thorough inspection process before shipment guarantees the solid product reliability.

Simplicity Defined

All boxes, connectors, cables, and other components onboard the v60Ka pedestal are clearly marked with silkscreened labels to ensure that labeling does not fade with time. Thumb screws are used throughout the system, eliminating the need for tools.

Upon setup, Intellian’s Aptus software provides a clear, graphically intuitive method for entering onboard blockage zones and calibrating azimuth with a single tap.

The v60Ka removes needless complexity from satellite communications. One antenna, one single unit rack mount controller, one modem. That is all.

Smallest Belowdeck Footprint

The v60Ka’s antenna controller is housed in a 19” 1U rack type case, reducing consumed rackspace by 50%. In addition to being so small, the ACU includes a build in power supply and offers a number of convenient options, such as a two line digital display, with easy navigation buttons and function keys for 100% functionality of the entire system directly from the ACU front panel.

A signature Intellian ACU feature is the front panel management port. One Ethernet and two USB ports are usefully positioned on the front panel for quick connection to a PC, or for instant firmware updates via a USB drive.

Finally, all Intellian ACUs feature Wi-Fi connectivity for wireless management and control of the antenna system via PC or Mobile.

Best RF Performance

The v65's high efficiency reflector and feed design deliver dramatically improved gain performance for increased fidelity of service and improved overall link margin. Service providers can now leverage the superior performance to access new market segments by building new, attractive service plans offering truly global coverage, higher throughput, and larger sized data plans. Live network testing shows the v65 offers an average of 1.2 dB/k improvement in G/T over any other system in its class, and can achieve download speeds up to 100Mbps over high throughput satellites, such as Intelsat's EPIC constellation.

Built for Scale

The rate of adoption is increasing for maritime satellite communications. While this is a positive development for the industry, the challenge is keeping up with demand. At Intellian we understand that our customers are not earning revenue until the system is installed and activated. The v65 aims to solve this problem through a few key features.

The product is shipped without any stow brackets on the pedestal, and the RF connectors are now accessible from a small external panel, meaning there is no longer any need to remove THE radome during pre-installation testing or during installation itself. Saving time through both of these processes enhances the efficiency of your business and gets you to activation far more quickly. The v65 is also capable of supporting automated commissioning once it has been properly integrated with a given network.
